PreProfessional Program

Ages 10+

From Movement to Mastery…


Pre-professional training for the aspiring Ballet and/or Contemporary dancer.


With exceptional instructors and individualized training this course includes:

  • RAD Ballet vocational levels

  • Horton & Limon Modern

  • Improvisation techniques

  • Dance Conditioning

  • Open Ballet Tech & Pointe classes

  • Jazz

    Our dancers have consistently proven their extensive artistry and technique by receiving numerous awards and fabulous exam marks.


    If you want to take your dancing to it’s full potential, Audition for this program! Auditions can be done in person at our May in person audition, by taking a trial class or by video.


RAD Ballet exams are expected in this program and will be taken when the dancer is ready which is not always every season. Dancers will take classes at their RAD ballet level as well as Open Ballet Tech classes per week.

Dancers will be allocated to either Inter or Adv classes based mainly on RAD Ballet level but we always take a dancers skills into consideration.

En Avant PreProfessional Schedule

Dancers are placed into class level based mainly on their RAD Ballet level

Mondays

  • 4-4:45pm Adv Modern Competition Rehearsal

  • 4:45-6:15pm Adv Open Modern + Improvisation

  • 6:15-7pm Adv/Int Competition Rehearsal

  • 7-7:45pm Inter Modern Competition Rehearsal

  • 7:45-9pm Inter Open Modern + Improvisation

Tuesdays

  • 4-5:30pm All Levels Conditioning

  • 5:30-8pm Competition Rehearsals Rotating Schedule

Wednesdays

  • 4-5:30 Adv Open Modern

  • 5:30-6:45pm Adv/Int Open Modern

  • 6:45-8pm Inter Open Modern

Thursdays

  • 4-6pm RAD Adv 1 Ballet + Pointe

  • 6-7:30pm RAD Inter Found Ballet + Pointe

  • 7:30-9pm RAD Inter Ballet + Pointe

Fridays

  • 4-6pm Adv Open Ballet Tech + Pointe

  • 4-5 Inter Jazz

  • 7-8pm Adv Jazz

  • 6-8pm Inter Open Ballet Tech + Pointe

Saturdays

  • 9-11am Adv Open Ballet Tech + Pointe

  • 1-3pm Inter Open Ballet Tech + Pointe

Investment

Monthly Fee - 441.00

Yearly Registration Fee per student 40.00

All June Show Costumes 300.00

Show Photos and Videos 45.00

Competition Fees:

Choreography/Rehearsal Fee 330.00 per group

Costume/s for competition group approx. 100.00

Entry Fees for all 3 competitions approx. 150.00



Uniforms

WAPA uniform bodysuits and tights are purchased through the studio on the uniform sale weekend in Sept or at the desk year round. Dance shoes are purchased from Stretch Dance Shop at Uptown or Toes N Taps Dance Shoppe at Cook st Village.

Dancers can wear whichever uniform aligns with them.

Ballet :

Female Identifying Uniform: hair in ballet bun, any colour bodysuit, ballet tights & canvas ballet slippers matching your skin tone or ballet pink, pointe shoes when required

Male Identifying Uniform: hair off face, black dance shirt or bodysuit, black ballet leggings, male dance belt, black socks, black ballet slippers

Modern - Jazz - Conditioning:

Female Identifying Uniform: hair off face in ponytail, any colour bodysuit, black shorts, bare feet

Male Identifying Uniform: hair off face, black dance male shirt, black dance leggings or shorts, bare feet
