Contemporary Modern Intensive

This program is designed for dancers age 12-18 years old who want to train intensively in contemporary modern with ballet, choreography composition, jazz, and conditioning as supporting classes. Our graduating contemporary dancers will have a list of 70 post graduate programs (some degree programs, some company programs) in Europe to chose to audition for.

Dancers will get the maximum support when planning auditions in their final year. Each dancer gets an individual plan customized to their goals and strengths. Dancers will receive: Audition Videos, Head shots and Dance photos arranged, Help corresponding between companies/programs, Apprentice Company experience with Convergence Contemporary Ballet Company, Guidance for the creation of personal solos for Auditions, Support in choosing auditions that fit each individuals.

Our dancers have been accepted by SEAD Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance - Austria, Kibbutz Dance Program - Israel, Copenhagen Contemporary School of Dance - Denmark, Gangaray Artistic Program - Budapest, Trinity Laban Conservatory, Northern School of Contemporary Dance - London UK, Northern School of Contemporary Dance - Leeds UK and many more . We can make your dance dreams come true.

Why do we focus on post graduate programs in Europe? Because, a dance professional in Europe is upheld with health benefits, full career opportunities and even sometimes a life time contract allowing dancers to make normal life choices like maternity leave and injury time off without loosing their career. Europe is farther ahead in these areas then other countries/areas. Dancers who train in Europe get seen by choreographers and companies then ultimately get picked up as professionals in the area

Tuition for this program is $6500 for the season September - June with scholarships available to dancers who demonstrate potential. A one time registration fee of $75 is taken when a dancer is committed to the program. Fees are to be paid by Paypal in three month chunks.

To enter the program dancers need to send in a video consisting of introduction: your name and city, contemporary improvisation, self created solo and floor work. Video links can be send to our email at info@wapa.dance and please fill out and submit the registration form below.
